Ufffff!!!!! It was difficult but I finally achieved my aim! I managed to settle down in Paris for the summer. After 3 long weeks of “job hunt” I’ll be working (again) as a waiter in a nice Italian restaurant at the tourist Saint Michel Square (VIeme). Well… I know I always say that I wont work as a waiter anymore but… what can I expect with my low standard of French…
However, it was easier to find a place to live, since hundreds of students finished the course this month and are leaving the city. I found a cheap and nice room located near République Square (Xeme), not far from downtown and a 25 minutes walking from my job. I share the apartment with a friendly classical ballet dancer and a student of Photography.
The main goal now is to keep learning French (after my adventure in the former French colonies in Western Africa) and became more “universal” each day (joke). After living in London, Amsterdam and Rome, I still have to live in Paris to experience how life is in the main European capitals. It is true that I haven’t spent a lot of time in each of these cities but, all in all, I have lived one year and a half in the four of them.
So, during this summer, I’ll try to show you the best and worst of this wonderful city with some nice pictures and better comments.
